My name is Seun and if you were wondering how we got here...
Our Story

Born with a Pole in His Hand
Bubba was born and raised on Maui, and from the time he could hold his bamboo pole, he loved to fish. Whether it was spear fishing in Hana or trolling on his uncle’s boat, he couldn't get enough.

Maui Boy Meets His Brown-Eyed Girl
Bubba would go on to replace his fishing pole with another kind of pole. He started training for the Olympics in the pole vault. Though he didn't make the team, he would go on to meet me, his wife. I was a long jumper from Nigeria. It was a good trade.

You Are What You Eat
As athletes, we both understood that what we ate had an immediate and long lasting impact on how we performed. We didn't just want good food, we wanted the best. That led us to Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon. It was packed full of nutrients, and it was delicious. Bubba declared it the best food in the world. I loved it too.
Kula Wild
Sports didn’t last forever and it was time to get real jobs. Bubba still loved fishing and I still loved eating salmon. We figured our friends might like it too. Before you knew it, Kula Wild was born. Not only is Kula the name of Bubba's hometown, it’s also the name of the tectonic plate that runs under parts of Bristol Bay where we catch our fish. It all seemed to come full circle.

Doing What You Love
You'd almost think we planned it, but it just turns out that doing what you love for the people you love is never a bad idea.
